Designing
We create garden concepts that do justice to the scale of ground and to match the architectural and period style of the house
Matching gardens to homeowners’ needs
Creating gardens to accord with the homeowner’s desire for privacy, pleasurable retreat or social demands must consider the house’s interior styling. The gardens, by their very size, are extensions of the house and its occupants.
We design gardens with sectional areas to provide diverting points of enjoyment for the owners and house guests. We consider areas for recreation and entertainment, orchard or vegetable gardens for housekeeping, and glass houses for cultivation and propagation of unusual specimens.
PLANTS, PLANTING
We consider the house’s proportions, style, building materials and outlook to design and plan complementary gardens, landscaping and maintenance. In such acreage, it’s important to plant for seasons, so often we choose deciduous specimens that stand the test of time, and provide evergreen relief through winters.
Garden maintenance
We provide a full maintenance service: replenishment planting, new season planning and stock resourcing, hedging, lawn care, shrub pruning, pest and disease control and revised landscaping. We maintain orchards and vegetable gardens and propagate plants for additional border bedding.
Other contractors
To maintain the agreed annual schedule, we also collaborate with subcontractors where required: arborists (tree surgeons), hard-landscapers, earthworks suppliers, etc.
